Edger Allan Poe's only novel is a classical adventure story with supernatural elements which has fascinated and influenced generation of writers. The inspiration for the novel  The narrative of Arthur Gordon pym of Nantucket was both modern and American. Poe got the idea from a newspaper.

The  novel is replete with existential and psychoanalytical fascination. The later part of the 'narrative ' explores one of Poe's recurring themes, man's unconscious desire for annihilation. Some stories  written by Edgar Allan poe are

The Murders in the rug Morgue,

The Marque of the Red Death

The Imp of The Perverse.

Poe's literary creation have undoubtedly enabled us to perceive the mystery and terror of our restless souls of response to a  world  desensitised to violent  and human perversity and art is not immune to such a destructive effect .

Death ,Horror and Murder

Everyone say that death is natural phenomenon. But why not murdered? Because of it take place by the murderer?  If we connect the Karmik philosophy here then it is also a natural phenomena.but yes may be there some  other interpretation also can apply and limitations of the statement given here. so we talk about the story of Horror, murder and death.  We can read death, murder and horror in many stories by Poe. We take here two Stories  to discuss upon that.  weekend analyse their recurring themes.

The Black Cat and

The Tell Tale Heart

In the story first person narrative the story and he is the main character as well and the events that caused them to come to murder Edgar Allan poe crafted to narrative so realistic that it inflict  fear and horror to reader.

In both stories  the black cat and the tell tale heart start with the first person narrative in both story narrnarrato tried  to identify that  narrator is not Mad, After that  narrative gives justification for his actions why its happen and how and this how he tell the story of further.

According to narrator mental health is critical information for the readers to grass causing the reader to wonder if they are  really crazy after all.    Both story's victims,  a Cat and  Old man became  victim or  murdered by the  narrator  because of the Eye in  The Tell Tale Heart the entire purpose of killing  The old Man was to rid  the narrator of his cloudy blue vulture eye. In The Black cat also narrator disturbed by eye of the cat and he gouged out it.

In both story narrator try to show love 40 victim for cat and for the old man but killed the the cat in the black cat and the old man in the tell tale heart.

The Masque of the Red Death

This one ranks highest on our death list out of sheer goriness: a plague known as Red Death has ravaged the countryside, while the nobility throws a huge masquerade party, safely quarantined in the castle walls. When one guest shows up dressed as a victim of the plague, the host of the masquerade becomes offended and pursues him. Chasing him from down the halls, they finally end up in an all-black room, when it is revealed that there is no one under the costume at all: it's the Red Death itself. One by one, the guests start to show the signs of disease: sharp pains, contorted faces, and uncontrollably sweating blood

 The Cask of Amontillado

Montresor, an Italian noble, seeks revenge on his frenemy Fortunato, so he liquors him up under the pretense of a wine tasting and the promise of a fine vintage amontillado. When Fortunato is sufficiently sloshed, Montresor leads him to the catacombs, chains him up, and walls him in, brick by brick. Then, just to make completely sure Fortunato will die, he tosses a torch inside before putting in the last stone. This how Montresor took the revenge and Fortunato got his death in crucial way.

The Murders in the Rue Morgue

This tale is widely credited as being the first detective story, so its two gruesome murders get an extra bonus for the historical significance. A Paris inspector, Dupin, investigates the death of a mother and daughter, one brutally beaten and the other strangled and stuffed in a chimney. No one can figure out how somebody could be strong enough to commit the deed -- until Dupin deduces that the culprit wasn't human at all, but an escaped orangutan. That twist may seem antique today, but in its time, "The Murders in the Rue Morgue" was a revolutionary tale that begat a whole genre of fiction.

 Suspense and detective

Poe wrote about the detective  fiction and ratiocination Aa well.Edgar Allan Poe was the undisputed "Father" of the Detective Story. He created so much that is of importance in the field -- literally creating the template for all of detective fiction to followIn. “The Purloined Letter” there is detective named Dupin. Ratiocination is not listed in most dictionaries; however, it may be defined by deconstructing its syllables and associating it with other related words. A ratio compares the relationships between two quantities. Poe develops a new system for establishing relationships between unknown events and the motives or solutions to complex problems.

The analyst "makes, in silence, a host of observations and inferences" ...

"The necessary knowledge is that of what to observe"...

"deductions"

Dupin understands that clues and events are not always understood simply by the way that they appear. He approaches crime solving in the same way as he solves puzzles. With the same understanding of the evidence that the police hold, he provides new metaphoric solutions. His methods of unraveling crimes are unorthodox and appear to the police as irrational. He presents the details of these cases directly or through an unnamed narrator to give readers a glimpse into his ratiocinative thinking. The narrator’s job is to be amazed at

and inform the reader about the skills of the detective. Dupin separates the relevant from the irrelevant. He focuses on unexplained deviations from the normal, anticipates the actions and thoughts of his associates and opponents, and embraces information that, at first, appears to be external to the case. Each Dupin story is a self-contained armchair mystery, in that he seldom needs to leave his home to solve the crime.

At the end of the story we come to know about the suspense. In this story we also find elementa of revenge. Dupin and the minister both take revenge with each other in past and present. So it was revenge story and detective as well.

In Murder for Pleasure, Howard Haycraft categorizes "The Murders in the Rue Morgue" as a "physical" story because after you've read it, the one scene which stays in your mind forever is a physical scene. Haycraft challenges us to think of "The Murders in the Rue Morgue." If you read it as a child, and haven't picked it up for thirty years, the chances are enormous that the one thing comes to mind it is a physical image. Haycraft is right, of course; but this was only the beginning. Virtually all of the important elements that later writers of detective stories were to use were initially developed by Poe. It's the first detective story It is a locked-room mystery All clues are shown to the reader well before the denouement, allowing you to reason and solve the mystery before the detective explains his conclusions.

Conclusion

We can sum up with this that Edger Allan Poe was a great writer who wrote horror, about the death, detective and suspense story. His work are very famous. Character of his story are seems like not stable with mental health. They murders and murdered with so much cruelty. In The Black Cat, The tell tale heart or many other stories by him. In each story death is happen because of  murderer. Not a natural death.
