One Act Play MKUB youth festival 2019

Hello

This blog is about the one act play which were performed in  the youth festival of mkub 2019.This is also a part of thinking activity.  This is my own experience which I express here.

On 26th September 2019On this day students performed the One Act Play. They gave their best for their performance and make so much effort and did hard practice or work to perform well. That we can see in their performance.

First play named  "Artificial intelligence".This was the first play of the day. This was performed by girls team.

Then other  One Act play was named 'Mohtu'about the social problems which faced by women. That was also nice play by that team. It's story written by Ram mori and also short film avilabale on you tune.

Other play was about the 'સાચુકલા સપનાની વાત'. This play was based on a dream of girl for her in lows house. But the reality of her life in her in lows house is different than her dream. It has a unique plot and theme than other play.

After that another one is about the 'જોગણી માતા'.It is about the blind faith.A girl named Lakshmi who has four hand so people called her Jogni mata.People came to her to fullfil their wish.Lakshmi has a friend Meriyo. He was belongs to the lower cast. So no one like that  Lakshmi  play with him.after passing time they were loved each other but  no one will accept them. That is the harsh reality of our society. At the end  they both consumed poison and die.Lakshmi lost her childhood to became Jognimata and after that in her youth she also lost her love.

There was  also play on Bhasa's 'Urubhng',background of Mahabharata. That was  also good one among other play.

In all the plays are appreciated.Student gave their 100% for the performance. It is very  easy to speak word 'PLAY'but very tough to  play the play. Audience appreciate the performance when they put their selves  any particular character which related to them. These all plays are like that. If I talk about my own experience  I like the most three plays are સાચુકલા સપનાની વાત, જોગણી માતા અને આર્ટીફિસીયલ ઈન્ટેલિજન્સ .

We  can feel the catharsis through this plays. Specially in these plays mentioned above.Audience felt the pity and fear that this kind of situation should not come to their life, so no one  face such  problems  in their future life. we can see  the theme of most of play is from the village background.so we come to know about our culture.

Thinking activity on Paradise lost

 Hello friends

This blog about the  paradise lost which task given by Dr Barad sir.To know more click here.

In  a univers we  can see the discrimination of male and female. In paradise lost we can see that discrimination through the characters of Eve and Adam.God is male and so in a punishment god became partial. So, the divine power is God.

1) What is your understanding of human perspective and divine perspective? Give  illustration to support your understanding.

* Divine perspective

In a divine perspective good is in center. People believe in God and God has a superior power and energy all over the world and universe. In divine perspective  God has all power and human are under his power all the holy books we can see the superior Roll  of God not human.People have a blind faith on God and therefore those things without any logic and thoughts.
We can see divinity when God give punishment to Eve for her sin. If there is human perspective, Adam also got the equal punishment but nothing like that. Paradise lost also show the divine perspective  religious.

* Human perspective :-

In human perspective human is in a Centre they have emotion feeling and their on thinking it is also saying that human are made by God in human perspective they do not what they want to do that even this over anyone even God also even other 8 example of that human perspective in a world human is in a Centre has no intention to eat apple but Milton bring here the human perspective and human nature because of Milton is also a human being.
Eve Adam and Satan are are you human because they have a feeling emotion ambition of take a revenge love, sorrow fearness.

2) How do you read the character of Eve transgressor and yet defendable?

Paradise Lost written by John Milton is a character of the poem Shaitan came to her accident and told to eat the fruit which is denied to eat by code committed the same by eating the Apple then she told to eat to am also first Adam argue that got dinner at them to do that but they both are committed same sin. Eve transgressor , schedules of obedience to God And The Fall of man the tree was about knowledge de do this because of free will she is defendable because she gave the argue against maybe it because she got knowledge after eating the fruit she argued that if we are inferior then who is free? In the punishment God become partial to doing justice between Adam and Eve God give the punishment to Eve and also caused her to face unbearable pain during  childbirth but Adam and Satan did not get strong punishment for their evil deed.
Eve is represent the woman world. Through her character  we can come to know about the woman nature and actions.

Thinking activity on Coleridge and Wordsworth

Hello

This  time thinking activity given on  the Coleridge and Wordsworth. Their views on poem.here is my work.

Coleridge view on poem :-

Samuel coleridge was an English poet literary critic philosopher and theologian.
coleridge give the important to the imagination.Coleridge was deals with "Persons and character Supernatural "
According to him "Dictionction resulting from the poetic genius itself which sustain and modifies ,thoughts and emotions of poets own mind" for him poetry is an activity of mind as other form of literature poetry also a form of expression of feeling emotion and thinking of man-mind. Coleridge poetry should be "best word in best order" and it delight from the harmonious whole
  example human body
coleridge work 'Biographia Literaria' is a great work it is very important work in English literary criticism and other critic also used it.Coleridge give the difference between poem and poetry coleridge distinguish a poem from process composition he said that poem is different and process because the use of metre and drive which is not used in cross composition he said purpose of poem is to give pleasure to another thing is that everything else in the poem is supposed secondary his Prime in is it reader.

Wordsworth view on poem :-

Poetry is the spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings it takes its origin from emotion recollected in tranquality.
when the poet is in the poetic mood is sings out rapture as sorrow spontaneously from the care of his heart.
Poetry cannot be composed under duress, the clear spring of poetry must flow freely spontaneously.
It cannot be made to flow through artificial Wordsworth said that poet should choose does word and language so everyone can understand and enjoy it even a common people can also enjoy the poem.
we can see the theme of his poem is simple about rustic life childhood theme and nature and other also .
Wordsworth Said poetry is the breath and finer spirit of all knowledge the impassioned expression that is in the conuntenance of all science.
Poetry is the instrument for the propagation of moral thoughts Wordsworth poetry does not simply delight but it also teach us dep moral lesson and brings home to the philosophical truth about life and religion.

Poem by Coleridge :Work without Hope

All Nature seems at work. Slugs leave their lair—
The bees are stirring—birds are on the wing—
And Winter, slumbering in the open air,
Wears on his smiling face a dream of Spring!
And I, the while, the sole unbusy thing,
Nor honey make, nor pair, nor build, nor sing.

Yet well I ken the banks where amaranths blow,
Have traced the fount whence streams of nectar flow.
Bloom, O ye amaranths! bloom for whom ye may,
For me ye bloom not! Glide, rich streams, away!
With lips unbrighten'd, wreathless brow, I stroll:
And would you learn the spells that drowse my soul?
Work without Hope draws nectar in a sieve,
And Hope without an object cannot live.

Poem by Wordsworth :

Written in ballad form, ‘We are Seven’ gives an account of a conversation between an adult poetic speaker and a little cottage girl which centers around the adult questioning the girl how many siblings does she have. The little girl counts her two dead siblings as part of the family and the adult who is perplexed tries to reason with her. The poem ends with the girl saying, “Nay, we are seven!” It remains popular for its simple narrative and complex implications.

In this poem we can see the childhood theme and in a simple language. So evryony can enjoy it.

A poem is the arrangements of words that contain meaning and musical elements. It is a piece of writing that expresses the writer’s thought and feelings in order to set a mood; it can be happy or sad simple or complex. In just a few words, a poem can say a lot, it can be happy or sad , simple or complex. A poem can either be rhyming or non-rhyming. It uses symbols and has lines and stanzas that have sentences, fragments of sentences or both. It uses metaphor and alliteration.

Shitala saatam and other festivals in August

Hello

Here is the blog about Shitala saatam.which is my task.here I put my view on this shitala saatam. To know more information click here .

Now may b most of us even don't know which goddess picture is this? So This the picture of SHITALA MAA. we all know that in a Sravanamas there is a day like Shitla satam which is come on Saatam so we called it SHITALA SAATAM.

Religion vs. Science:-

Even though the anicient and mediaeval World did not have conception resembling the modern understanding of science or of religion. Nowadays  in 21st century people also believe in a blind faith and we see this both have between a war, we never challenge the religion and we have not a logic then even we follow them.Like on the day of Shitala saatam  to have a cold food.

Before 60 or 70 years ago there was deasese like shitala. In those day there was no remedy for this and people also died. India is a religious country there are so many God and Goddesses. So in people there is a belief that shitala maa can save the people from the disease and so people stared worship of her.

Inoculation vs Vaccination :-

The terms inoculation, vaccination, and immunization are often used synonymously to refer to artificial induction of immunity against various infectious diseases. However, there are some important historical and current differences. In English medicine, inoculation referred only to the practice of variolation until the very early 1800s. When Edward Jenner introduced smallpox vaccine in 1798, this was initially called cowpox inoculation or vaccine inoculation.
Vaccination  is introducing a weekend version of the pathogen so that the immune response is triggered and the body is prepared to fight the actual pathogen if necessary. This was pioneered by Edward Jenner where in the noticed that  cowpox which related to smallbox immunised the milkmaids against smallpox.

Edward Jenner :-

On May 14, 1796, Jenner took fluid from a cowpox blister and scratched it into the skin of James Phipps, an eight-year-old boy. A single blister rose up on the spot, but James soon recovered. On July 1, Jenner inoculated the boy again, this time with smallpox matter, and no disease developed. The vaccine was a success. Doctors all over Europe soon adopted Jenner’s innovative technique, leading to a drastic decline in new sufferers of the devastating disease.

In the 19th and 20th centuries, scientists following Jenner’s model developed new vaccines to fight numerous deadly diseases, including polio, whooping cough, measles, tetanus, yellow fever, typhus, and hepatitis B, and many others. More sophisticated smallpox vaccines were also developed and by 1970 international vaccination programs, such as those undertaken by the World Health Organization, had eliminated smallpox worldwide.

India is the country of festivals.here in this picture you can see that reflection.People are very excited to celebrate them and start preparation for it a weak ago.In mas of shravana there are so many festivals like Eid, Pateti, Rakshabandhan,Nag-panchami,Shitala Satan, and our independence day on 15th  August.

August a month of patriotism

Hello friends

This  time I'm here with new task. From the twelve months  one is AUGUST. We Know that why this month  is important, because of the  India got the freedom from the British rule. On Indian freedom we have so many things to discuss and debate. But here my task upon the month August. In this month we have  many festivals. So let's discuss it.

Here one another video about the partition of India and Pakistan. Click here

This is the video about drawing the line between two countries one is Pakistan another as we know India. Both were separated in 1947,after free from Britisher ruin.In this time we can make only our assumptions about those days situation but we have no time to think what to do now?

If people of these two countries  think about the togetherness then  we have no question of jammu or Kashmir, may it will became jammukashmir as we speak it. There will not fight or war situation.

In this month specially on 15th August we became nationalist but as Barad sir said there is different between the words PATROTISCIM AND NATIONALIST.we had celebrated our 73rd indepedance day but question is that.

Are we free from our old thoughts or a Old thinking mentality?

Even today we can see  the orthodox influence on society. Here one video about the defence of freedom from movie.

In this video monto said that;

 "हर उस चीज के बारे मे लिखा जाना चाहिए  जो आपके सामने मौजूद हो।"

           He said that if you can't all tolerate  or accept my story and literature it means you also not tolerate the society because I wrote what is our society. My story is mirror of the society if a bed faced person give the blame to Mirror then what can I do for?what is my fault? This video ends with a beautiful dialogue;

"मैं अपनी आंखें बंद कर भी लो पर अपने ज़मीर का क्या करू?"

This poem is by Bhagawt rawat.

Initially part of poem we become confused why poet using two words like Rashtra and Desh? Question arises that what is the difference between those two words? When we listen the video carefully at the end we come to know about the answer. This is amazing poem and thought given by Rawat. In this poem he also mention the name of Mahabharata the myth  and the characters like Dhutrashtra,Gandhari and kaurava who were wantd the land and power the situation and mind set,we can feel also nowadays. But who fold the eye.?Public or ruler?

         "युद्ध  में हार ही हार होती है कोई जितता नहीं। "

what is the difference between the words is  connected with the devotion feeling towards Dhesh but not Rashtra.  The word nation we use is for Rashtra but the the word country  is for Desk.

Desh is the wholeness there is no discrimination of cast, colour, language and sex or region. These all get together and create the oneness than became the country or Desh otherwise if there is discrimination it is only nation.

    "आपको अपना राष्ट्र मुबारक, मुझे तो अपना देश चाहिए.... "

Six short video on Dryden and criticism

V-1:Dryden is the father of English criticism also  there is explanation about Sidney. I like the idea of definition of play by Dryden. it is broken into three parts 1)lively image
           2)Representation it's passion and  humour
           3) delight
Plato talk about the imitation and copy but Dryden gave different definition than Plato and Aristotle.Dryden talk about lively image.Dryden gave touch of realism. The word Catharsis.Dryden said about the delight instruction of mankind apart from that Plato and Sidney touch of ideal in representation. Represantion life as it is.
Question :why Dryden used the word 'just' before 'image'?

V-2  This one about the Dryden as critic and title of the essay. He was neo -classical poet. we can see the classicism and romanticism. Dryden was classicist but not blindly.
Question :what is doctrine approach?

V-3. Drama and poesy both are important, artificiality is not exist but lively image.it should be natural.I like the idea about  the present the human nature.,also the concept of represention.
Question: 1) Is represention is copy or not?
2) How pleasure is sensual?

V-4 This one about the comparative criticism of the Ancient, modern and French playwrights.
Eugenious and Lisideius make the arguments on this topic. They used the situation of those time and the parties Whig and Tory which is good way to give justice to their argument.
Question : can we say that ancient is more important?

V-5 Controversy regarding used and aviodance of Rhyme.crites and Neander make the arguments on used to Rhyme  and blank verse. Neander support of serious tragedy verse. but he defence weak because Dryden's vAll for loves' is not in verse.
Question : How is possible that tragic character is better than ourselves?

V-6. Rhyme is not a proper  medium to carry the just lively image because it is unnatural. I like  the arguments of Rhyme helps the judgement and makes it easier to control the free flight of their fancy. Rhyme is the suger quoted the ornaments of language which gives sweetness to the language.
Question :why crites said that Artistic control is a matter of judgement and not of rhyme or verse?

The purpose by T. P. Kailasam

Hello friends,

In the field of literature we have many form of art like, Play, Novel, Poem Essay ,Short stories, novella and Drama etc. Especially in Indian writing we find many well known dramatist who wrote  very beautiful drama we know the well-known writer like Tagore, T.P. Kailasam, Aurobindo etc. Here my purpose to talk on The Purpose by T. p. kailasam. Here is my work upon 'The purpose',task given by Vaidahi ma'am.

T. P. Kailasam :

T.P.Kailasam was born on 29 July 1886 in in Mysore India and died on 1946 in Bangalore his full name is Thanjavur Param Shiva Kailasam his work like,

1)  The Burden
2) Fulfilment
3) The Purpose
4) Keechak
5) Karna:The Brahmin's curse

He wrote in English also. He was considered as the "Father of modern Kannada drama" and also a famous as the "Father of humorous plays". we can see the theme of his work are mythological and also characters are taken from myth.

1.) Compare and Contrast Arjun and Eklavya's Character.
The purpose by TP Kailasam its characters and theme is from Mahabharata there are three major characters:-
Drona :guruji
      Arjun: Kshatriya
          Eklavya:Nishad boy

Arjuna is the Aryaputra and pupil of Drona. Eklvya is  the Nishad son. Arjuna is not nicest person in this play because here he thought about himself and about that he is belong to upper cast and he insulted Eklvya to called him Nishad and lower cast. They both have different purpose.
Arjuna is learning  archery from his guru Drona. He want to be greatest archery man of the world. While  Eklvya want to  learn to save the deer. His purpose is nice than Arjuna. We can say that Arjuna has  a silly pride and he prodigal. On other hand Eklavya is a very gentle and nice guy his intention to  learn archery also nice. But Arjuna insult him and that we can see in their conversation :

Arjuna: (Stung to the quick) What do you mean by my "Silly pride" in my caste?

Ekalavya: (Calm and smiling) "What do I mean"? Why, just what I said! When I spoke of your pride in your caste as being silly, I meant that you are proud of your caste without knowing what there is in your caste to be really proud of!

Arjuna: (Sneeringly) How do you know that I do not know it?

Ekalavya: Well then, if you really do know what there is to be proud of in being an Arya that there is not in being a nishaada... tell me!...I am a nishaada and you are an Arya; And yet I am as strong as you; I can become as great an archer as you ever can – if your Guru wills it; and I have all that I want in my beautiful forest as you have all you want in this big city of yours!...Tell me how you are any better than I for being an Arya ?

Arjuna: (Cogitates for a minute; a confused and unequal to a coherent and cogent reply, snaps back sardonically) You may be all this and even perhaps become as good as I in archery – if Gurujee takes you on as his pupil! And yet, after all is said and done... AN ARYA is AN ARYA! And a NISHAADA is only a LOW-BORN NISHAADA!

Ekalavya: (Bursts out laughing) You make me laugh!

Arjuna: (Curtly) What is there to laugh at?

Ekalavya: I am laughing because it seems to me that according to you the only thing that one has to be proud of in being an Arya is THAT ONE IS NOT A NISHAADA! If then, there were no nishaadas at all in this world... you poor Aryans would have nothing to be proud of in being born as Aryas?

Arjuna: Is that what you really think?

Ekalavya: Of course not! I know what there is to be proud of in being an Arya! It is you that do not! If you care to hear me and learn I shall tell you! In the forest I live in, cruel wolves maul and kill harmless deer and fawns; and THE ONLY WAY THAT I CAN SAVE THE DEER AND FAWNS IS BY KILLING THE WOLVES! In the forest next to mine lives an Aryan Rishi and HE PROTECTS HIS DEER AND FAWNS BY THE POWER OF HIS "TAPAS" WITHOUT KILLING THE WOLVES! Now MY way of guarding my deer and fawns spells not only the death of the wolves, but also makes little wolf-cubs who have as yet done no harm, become fatherless and motherless!! And I who know both the loss of a father and love of a mother can feel for the poor little cubs! Thus, you see, that the power an Arya has, of doing the same thing as a nishaada BUT WITHOUT HARM OR HURT TO ANYONE, is a thing to be really proud of! YOUR silly pride in your caste ONLY BECAUSE YOU WERE BORN AN ARYA is but a sure sign of your WEAK HEAD!

2.) What is Subaltern? Who do you think is the Subaltern in this play? Explain with examples.

The subaltern is the term means 'subordinate or secondary'.
The term 'subaltern' is used in post colonial theory. The exact meaning of the term in current philosophical and critical usage is disputed.

Subaltern is the theory which may we can see everywhere. Some how person apply it on ownself and became victim and voiceless. In the novel  we can see this subaltern,A fine Balance.

Even in The Kanthanpura we can see the situation of women and also the cast decremintion also we can say the permanent theory of subaltern here.

* Subaltern in The purpose:=

It is believed that Arjun The Prince has right to learn archery. He has purpose, believes that Eklavya the Nishadha is a poor boy who can't even give the Gurudakshina he has no right to learn archery. It is aimless Eklavya by learning occur across Arjuna wrong in the Mahabharata the character of Eklavya is voiceless marginalized we not know about him more but T.P. Kailasam Eklavya is Revolutionary is rising voice against the hierarchy. He gave the voice to the Nishadha boy.

Subaltern is a a position without identity Eklavya want to make his own identity you want to become a greatest Aakar and it can be interpreted as a subaltern desire to build his own identity his own place in the society he is far ahead in our country in comparison to Arjuna buttock love you have to sacrifice his kill his knowledge for archna by giving his term as a Gurudakshina once again social evils of society played the role and Eklavya approved is the richest of the earth.

The subaltern in this purpose Eklavya is a soviet and was offered because of class caste and resource subaltern are never given their turn to speak and if they raise their voice for their right they are always suppressed by the dominant culture.

This how the power always suked poor and weak. Here in The purpose  cast  and race. Who one belongs to higher class and cast they want to ruin on the poor and weak who belongs to lower class. Kailsam portrayed character of both boys differ than Mahabharata. Here  he gave to chance to Eklvya to speak  and defend to the Arjuna. And he did by giving his thump as Gurudakshina.

3.)Write your views about Education system in India with reference to Past and Present time.

In  the society there is a cast system and  class system. So who deserves something to get in a real sense that gain nothing but pain.Education is one of the field we can see this kind of partiality. Movie is one medium to show this we have many movies like Super 30,

        " कोन तोडेगा ये परंपरा? द्रौणाचार्य तो हमेशा राजा के ही साथ थे और आगे भी रहेंगे।एकलव्य का अगुंठा कटवाते रहेंगे  और अर्जुन को बडा योद्धा कहेलवाते रहेंगे ।"

In a past time who belongs to Brahmin or Kshatriya they can learn all kind of vidhya. Who are not belongs the upper class they have no right to learn. Other exam of we can say the 'Karna' another character from Mahabharata. Kailasam wrote upon him also.

Nowadays  who have a money they have right to get education. Here I used the word like  Vidhya and education that also make the past time differ than present time.

4.)Is Dronacharya an ideal teacher? If yes, then how? and If No, then Why? Explain with examples.

Dronachary is an ideal teacher because he didn't say no to Eklavya in The purpose to teach him even he was glad to know the intention to learn archery from him. Here some dialogue from play :

Ekalavya: ("Serving out” his words slowly and deliberately in a tone of utmost apprehension) IF you HAD HAD the time, Sir, and WERE FREE to teach me, Sir, WOULD YOU HAVE LIKED, the least bit, LIKED to teach me?

Drona: (With his hands resting on Ekalavya's shoulders; bends down and speaks in a tone of utmost love and admiration) "Liked"? "The least bit liked"? Why, my little man, if only I had the least chance, I should LOVE to teach you!

But unfortunately Dronacharya can't teach the Eklvya.here I like give the example from movie Super 30.

"राजा कौन बनेगा  वो जो राजा के घर में  पैदा हुआ और वो जो राजा बननेका हकदार है ?"

5.)Write something about your experience like Eklavya or Arjuna with any teacher during your study phase till now. (Not necessary to mention any name)

In my primary  school time there are some teachers who always focus on some student who  are clever or related in family or another relation.here I'm not talking about me only but with other also happened that, that I observed. I also face this kind of partiality during study time.one teacher who always  gave attention to who are clever and in their relation evan he felt envy because of my achievement.so yes I fased this kind of partiality.

Hello readers, Welcome to the world of thoughts...☺️         After many times I'm going to write a blog.I think I'm little bit stil...
