Thinking activity on Coleridge and Wordsworth

Hello

This  time thinking activity given on  the Coleridge and Wordsworth. Their views on poem.here is my work.

Coleridge view on poem :-

Samuel coleridge was an English poet literary critic philosopher and theologian.
coleridge give the important to the imagination.Coleridge was deals with "Persons and character Supernatural "
According to him "Dictionction resulting from the poetic genius itself which sustain and modifies ,thoughts and emotions of poets own mind" for him poetry is an activity of mind as other form of literature poetry also a form of expression of feeling emotion and thinking of man-mind. Coleridge poetry should be "best word in best order" and it delight from the harmonious whole
  example human body
coleridge work 'Biographia Literaria' is a great work it is very important work in English literary criticism and other critic also used it.Coleridge give the difference between poem and poetry coleridge distinguish a poem from process composition he said that poem is different and process because the use of metre and drive which is not used in cross composition he said purpose of poem is to give pleasure to another thing is that everything else in the poem is supposed secondary his Prime in is it reader.

Wordsworth view on poem :-

Poetry is the spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings it takes its origin from emotion recollected in tranquality.
when the poet is in the poetic mood is sings out rapture as sorrow spontaneously from the care of his heart.
Poetry cannot be composed under duress, the clear spring of poetry must flow freely spontaneously.
It cannot be made to flow through artificial Wordsworth said that poet should choose does word and language so everyone can understand and enjoy it even a common people can also enjoy the poem.
we can see the theme of his poem is simple about rustic life childhood theme and nature and other also .
Wordsworth Said poetry is the breath and finer spirit of all knowledge the impassioned expression that is in the conuntenance of all science.
Poetry is the instrument for the propagation of moral thoughts Wordsworth poetry does not simply delight but it also teach us dep moral lesson and brings home to the philosophical truth about life and religion.

Poem by Coleridge :Work without Hope

All Nature seems at work. Slugs leave their lair—
The bees are stirring—birds are on the wing—
And Winter, slumbering in the open air,
Wears on his smiling face a dream of Spring!
And I, the while, the sole unbusy thing,
Nor honey make, nor pair, nor build, nor sing.

Yet well I ken the banks where amaranths blow,
Have traced the fount whence streams of nectar flow.
Bloom, O ye amaranths! bloom for whom ye may,
For me ye bloom not! Glide, rich streams, away!
With lips unbrighten'd, wreathless brow, I stroll:
And would you learn the spells that drowse my soul?
Work without Hope draws nectar in a sieve,
And Hope without an object cannot live.

Poem by Wordsworth :

Written in ballad form, ‘We are Seven’ gives an account of a conversation between an adult poetic speaker and a little cottage girl which centers around the adult questioning the girl how many siblings does she have. The little girl counts her two dead siblings as part of the family and the adult who is perplexed tries to reason with her. The poem ends with the girl saying, “Nay, we are seven!” It remains popular for its simple narrative and complex implications.

In this poem we can see the childhood theme and in a simple language. So evryony can enjoy it.

A poem is the arrangements of words that contain meaning and musical elements. It is a piece of writing that expresses the writer’s thought and feelings in order to set a mood; it can be happy or sad simple or complex. In just a few words, a poem can say a lot, it can be happy or sad , simple or complex. A poem can either be rhyming or non-rhyming. It uses symbols and has lines and stanzas that have sentences, fragments of sentences or both. It uses metaphor and alliteration.
