Play :- Breath

      Today I have one interesting task to do. Now you think that which kind of title I made. But it is all about live you know. 

What is Breath ?

    Now obviously we know that what is breath but, Breath is a interesting play. Which work is by Samuel Beckett. So  now my task is to interpret this play own my own. 

      Encapsulation of the ultimate message of all of Samuel Beckett’s plays: you’re born, life is rubbish, you die, and then it happens again to someone else. Breath is all of 40 seconds. Spoiler alert: we hear a baby’s cry, the lights fade up as we hear the inhale of a breath, we see a static image of a landscape filled with plastics and pollution, and then the lights fade out on the exhale. 

      While Breath is one of three Beckett plays that make up the evening, maybe we could have got the essential point if we’d just viewed only this one. If we collected our our tickets, chatted in the foyer, had our tickets checked by the usher, found our seats, and 40 seconds later, curtain call. But then, we would have missed all the rest of the Krapp.

The script of the play:

CURTAIN Up

1. Faint light on stage littered with miscellaneous rubbish. Hold about five seconds.

2. Faint brief cry and immediately inspiration and slow increase of light together reaching maximum - together in about ten seconds. Silence and hold for about five seconds.

3. Expiration and slow decrease of light together reaching minimum together (light as in 1) in about ten seconds and immediately cry as before. Silence and hold about five seconds.

Interpretation of the play 

      Breath, comman word but when we try to think on that it has deep meaning, which we can study with philosical approach, psychological approach as well. 

    Breath in is birth and breath out is death. So this the life. 

    Here the play Breath is Absurd play. Absurd means it has not logic or related with fun. But sometimes some things give us a wide meaning and make us to think deeply. 

     

Here I try to  interpret that this play can be like this. We try to make our life beautiful and with happy but some time there is a some part are like rubbish. We try  to get knowledge,we  have experience but every time it will not help us. 

  

  Books are the source of knowledge but at the end every knowledge  has no value. It seem look like this on Flore which can not help after death. 

    There is still something  missing or remain....

     We can take example of Dr. Fustus, he has a hunger of knowledge and he did many thinks for that we can read in the play. 

    After the death ,there is no meaning of that, it seems absurd. 

    Education is also like that. We do  many think for that but after some time  no one is there to talk about it. So this way this education is not valuable. 

      Education system also like that, we learn that things which are not important with today's need. We still  study about the person those are not important nowadays  with sword in nuclear world and power.
