Term : Colonialism, Post -Colonialism ,Imperialism, Globalisation

Hello readers welcome to my blog

Here is blog on these term. Colonialism, post -colonialism, Imperialism and Globalisation. So first we see what is the meaning of this words.and why this term are important in study.

Colonialism and imperialism

According to Ania Colonialism and imperialism are often used in inter-changeably.  Entomology of Colonialism is from Roman language. We can find this word in Oxford English dictionary ; 'Colonia' me as Settlement. But when we study about it we come to know that it not only about settlements but in land of other you made your colony and ones power and rules are going to  follow.

This definition, quite remarkably, avoids any reference to people other than the colonisers, people who might already have been livingin those places where colonies were  established.

Colonialism is where one nation assumes control over the other and Imperialism refers to political or economic control, either formally or informally. In simple words, colonialism can be thought to be a practice and imperialism as the idea driving the practice.

Post -Colonialism

What is post colonialism?

In the broadest  term this category includes work that have a relationship to the subjugating forces of imperialism and colonial expansion. Postcolonial literature is that which has arisen and primarily since the end of World War II from regions of the world undergoing Decolonization. Works from such a regions in the 20th and 21st centuries such as the Indian subcontinent Nigeria, South Africa, and numerous part of the Caribbean for example ,might be described as post colonial.

 Globalisation

Globalisation is a term frequently used with an astonishing lack of specificity which has been used to refer to everything from worker migration to global warming from Microsoft presence in every PC in the third world of fundamentalisation.

Critics of globalization do not deny its reality or its transfor-matory powers, or the many ways in which it marks a departure from the old world order. But they contest its supposedly demo-cratising effects or egalitarian potential, and point out that if we treat contemporary globalization as if it didnot have a history, we obscure. the in equities it cements.

Summary

Ania Loomba  is wrote about this term which is in context of Colonialism and imperialism. We study as  post colonial literature.

In that work we find the examples of Mughal and their Shasan and Raj in various countries. Then we have also example of France, Britishers, Portuguese, Spanish and so on.

India also a part of that. Britishers Raj on India. We found it in history and the treatment of their toward people. He also used example of The tempest and A Tempest.  One is about Revenge and other one is written perspective of colonial, slave and master relation.

According to Ania loomba ,post colonial study can not be replaced by  globalisation study.

Ania Also took some  example of Amitav ghosh ,Arundhati Roy. So she can put the argument on globalisation and post colonialism. For the post colonial India literature here I put one video it will give many point related with it and easy to  understand.
